About Study Rooms @ EPL

There are eleven group study rooms on the 2nd floor in Adult Services. Second floor study rooms contain a table and chairs to accommodate between 4 and 8 people. Currently one room accommodates eight people. Many study rooms on the second floor also have white boards, TV screens with HDMI inputs and/or push-pin boards. At least one user of the study room must have an Elmhurst Public Library card. There are two group study rooms in the Kids’ Library (first floor) with one table and chairs to accommodate up to four to six people. At least one user of the study room must have an Elmhurst Public Library card. (Study Room Policy)

Please note: Study rooms cannot be used for work involving materials that may create a mess on furniture, carpeting, or other surfaces. Examples include glitter, glue or liquids.

to reserve a room.

or call (630) 279-8696 and ask to reserve a 2nd floor study room.

Note: First time users will receive an email request to opt-in to receive email from the system.  The link in this email must be clicked within 24 hours.

Rules

    • One-hour reservations
    • Maximum of one upcoming reservation per week
    • Up to seven days ahead
    • Reservations are held for 15 minutes after start time
    • Maximum of six people in each group study room

 

  • .5, 1, 1.5 or 2-hour reservations
  • Maximum of 2 upcoming reservations up to 7 days ahead
  • Reservations are held for 15 minutes after start time
  • You will need an email address to make a reservation
  • Study room capacity is limited to between 1 and 8 people depending on the size of the room.  Only 1 of the rooms accommodates 8 people.
